Michiru Kaioh/Michelle Kaioh

(In other words, what dubbing can do to a character)

*sigh*  Alright.  Here we go.  There are many differences between Michiru Kaioh of the original Japanese Sailor Moon series, and Michelle Kaioh of the CWI dub.  Probably the biggest difference is how CWI went about the relationship that Michiru has with Haruka in the Japanese version.  Before the dubs came out, there were rumors that Michelle and Amara would be made sisters...0.o EEK!!  I'm not even going to go into how wrong I think that is... anyway, they made the two cousins instead...whatever. 

Also, there's still no sign of "Make-Up!" after henshins/transformations.  It's no longer "Deep Submerge!"  but "Neptune Deep Submerge!"  but's that's shorthairs... that's probably one that doesn't bother me all that much... but enough of me nit-picking what the dub changed or left out.  Let's talk about the things that stayed the same!^^

Michelle's personality is pretty much the same.  She's smart, smart, smart, and gifted, gifted, gifted.  (Read: she's everything that Serena wants to be, but isn't.) She attends Muugen School, paints, plays the violin (I used to play one too^^ I think that's one of the big reasons she's my fav!) and swims as she put it in the dub, "Like a dolphin" and in her spare time, fights for love,justice and searches for pure heart crystals with her partner, Sailor Uranus.  Woo.  Tough life^^;  I gotta give her a lot of credit, though!
