| Name: Rayne Tepes Age: 2,000 Race: Human Role Extremity: Main Character Appearances: Demon Within 3 (Main Character) Info: Rayne is the daughter of D and Sora, and the heroine of DW3. In Demon Within 3, Sora has been killed. Well, not really, but she has to stay in an eternal sleep or else she will die. She was struck down by her greatest enemy, Xion Frost, right in front of Rayne's eyes when she was a young girl. Since then, Rayne has sworn to hunt Xion down and kill him. You must be wondering why Rayne is a human. Don't worry, you're not the only one who wonders. D and Sora are both Dunpeals- Half human and Half Vampire. As far as genetics go, D and Sora had a 50% chance of having a Dunpeal child, and 25% of having either a human or fully vampire child. Rayne, unfortunately, was born human. She takes a special medication to give her eternal life and youth, but it doesn't stop her from receiving mortal wounds. It is the same |
| medicine that Kurt Wagner has been using up to this storyline. Rayne's lover is Kurt in Demon Within 3, and he practically raised her. While Sora and D had to attend to their bounty hunts, 'Uncle Kurt' took care of Rayne. Rayne's abilities include teleportation through magic, extreme agility and speed, and she can even speak fluent German. Rayne works for her father in the Vampire Bounty hunting business, and Kurt is her partner. In almost every case, they come very close to catching Xion, but he always escapes their grasp. How he's involved with nearly every vampire activity is beyond anyone's knowledge. After Xion kills two of her best friends, and drives another to suicide, Rayne swears that she will be the one who kills him. D tries to stop her from letting out too much anger, and he and Rayne don't get along very well. Rayne swears that D has never been a father to her since Sora's semi-death. In that sense, Rayne hardly ever listens to him, and rebels, sometimes doing stuff she's not supposed to. She may be a few thousand years old, but she still has the spirit of a teenager. In the Demon Within 3, Rayne is stuck in a love triangle between Kurt and Markus, the incubus that is now at least 20,000 years old. She's in love with Kurt, but Markus also starts to fall for her. By this time, Menroc has been dead, and Rayne is Markus's love interest. |
