| Name: Manasseh "Penance" Age: Uh... over 3000, we'll leave it at that. He died when he was a week old. Race: He was born human, but to tell the truth, I really don't know. I'm cuddable, huggable, and oh-so loveable!!! Penance looks like a minature version of Death/Grim Reaper/Thanatos/Uriel, whatever. He has a head that's twice the size of his body, tiny arms and a tiny chest. His body was cut off just below his ribs. Details on that later. No, Death was NOT agitated with him. Penance, in reality, is the SON (yes, you heard me right), of the Succubus Galatea before she was Turned by Markus. Galatea hated children, and did not |
| want Penance to be born. Despite her prayers for him to be miscarried, she gave birth. Markus was helping her at the time, and loves children, so he forced Galatea to take care of him. But one night in a blizzard, Galatea took baby Penance in a basket and left him in an alley to freeze to death. Markus found the babe the next morning, and took him home and tried to warm him up and save him from Death's reach. Penance was frostbitten from the waist down, and his arms weren't too far away from it. (That explains why he only has half a body) He died just a couple hours later in Markus's arms. It was because of this sinful act by Galatea that Markus was forced to turn her. No one knows who Penance's father is. It's not Markus, because Incubi can only have children a certain way, and even if he were human, he still couldn't be Penance's father because he's sterile. (See Mark's bio) Although he was sent to hell, the Grim Reaper took in the infant and made him his minion (Penance: MINION!? Who are you calling a minion!? Well, you're a stupid head!) Galatea was reunited with Penance in Dracula's castle, and the little imp WOULD NOT LEAVE HER ALONE. She hates this kid with all her black little heart. Penance never learned that Galatea was his mother, although he clearly inherited some stuff from her (I.E. bitchiness) Markus also came with Galatea, along with his and her child, Artemis. Penance, for some strange reason, is scared to DEATH of Markus. Probably instinct that he knew that Markus took away his Mommy from him. In The Demon Within, Penance is cute as ever, and his new favorite person to bug is Sora. Why? She looks like Galatea, and he loved to pester Galatea. But unlike Gally, Sora warms up to Penance and think's he's just the cutest thing. Which he is. |
