He has appeared in a few Castlevania games, and starred in one. He is D's older brother, and when their mother, Lisa Szligany, died, Alucard took his little brother under his wing, and raised him. He went against his mother's last words, which were "Do Not Hate Humans. If you cannot live with them, then at least do them no harm. For their's is already a hard lot." For 10 years after his mother's death, Alucard hunted humans for food, and partly for revenge. But after he met and fell in love with Sonia Belmont, that all changed. After finding out that Sonia was destined to destroy his father, Count Dracula, Alucard trained Sonia in the art of |
| vampire hunting. Unable to let his love enter Castlevania alone, Alucard went ahead of Sonia, figuring that if he could destroy his father, then Sonia would be safe. The two met in Castlevania, and Alucard challenged her, saying that if she could defeat him, then she could go on to fight his father. Sonia beat him, and Alucard had to force himself into an eternal sleep, fearing he would never see Sonia again. Years later, Alucard awoke to discover that Sonia had bore his child, Trevor Belmont, who was now destined to fight Dracula, whom had once again been resurrected. He teamed up with his son along with a mage, Sypha Belnades, and a ghost pirate, Grant DaNasty. Trevor went throughout his entire life not knowing who Alucard truly was. Once again, Alucard had put himself into an eternal sleep after Trevor defeated Dracula. In 1797, Alucard was again awoken by a disturbance on earth. Dracula's resurrection was being planned, but had not yet happened. The dark priest Shaft had possessed Richter Belmont, and brought forth Castlevania. Alucard went on a quest to stop this, and put an end to Dracula... again. Then, what does he do? Falls asleep again. In the Demon Within, Alucard is Eric Belmont's mentor, teaching him in the art of vampire hunting. When Eric meets up with the Incubus Markus, Alucard doesn't exactly act friendly towards the demon. He joins up with Sonia Belmont and the other resurrected Belmonts when the plot unfolds, and all hell breaks loose from there. Aside from Trevor, Alucard has one other child, a daughter, but her wheareabouts are unknown. They shall be revealed in Demon Within 2. |
