| I will review the 3rd instalment of the Nightmare on Elm Street series. The Dream Warriors. To me, this was a rebirth of the series. The second one was missing something. Maybe it was a male lead or the subliminal gayness in it. I don't know. But anyways, I thought the casting was great. All the actors seemed liked they fit. Kincaid was great. The surprise comeback of Nancy was a great twist. The person who had defeated Freddy once came back to do it again. They have a lot of backstory which was very good. The ladies could get into it as well as there is a love thing going on with Nancy and the Doctor. The special effects were top of the line. I watched this the other day and they hold up with todays standards. The idea of a group of people taking on Freddy was great. This is my personal favourite movie. | My name Is Mike and I will be reviewing the first Nightmare On Elm Street. In my opinion the best out of the whole series. Like they say the first is always the best. I thought they had a great cast for the movie Heather Lagenkamp was excellent , Johnny Depp did a great job on his first starring role and adding John Saxon into the bunch made it a classic . But I can never forget Freddy. I don't think Freddy could have been played better by no one else except Robert Englund . He is a genius when it comes to the Nightmare films. Another reason I thought this one was the best because it wasn't soo high tech like the other films. This one was just plain and simple he chasses after you with his knifes. The other Nightmare films where much more complex. I thought that the third and new nightmare were ok. And thats because of course Wes Craven directed them all. In the other films they made Freddy look funny but in the first he was a monster. That's why I say the first is the best. Hope to see a lot more screams in the future Freddy! | Hello my name is Jonathan and im reviewing A Nightmare On Elm Street 6: Freddys Dead. I personaly think is one of my all time favorite because no one knows why freddy came back. But one kid who wanders around the streets thinking he's the son of freddy and meets this girl. Without knowing she is the only daughter of freddy she goes back to a town with an elm street. Sooner or later all the people she brought back with her are being killed . Freddy comes face to face with his daughter and kidnapes the boy who thinks he's the son then freddy conffesses that he is not his son and kills him. Now she sooner finds out that she is the daughter of freddy. She brings him into the real world and fights him. I think she kills him in an extremely way,she takes of his gloves and kills him with them and she says happy fathers day and she takes a run for it and the whole factory explodes By: Jonathan Oct, 20, 2002 |
| Hey ANOES Fans!!! Im Gonna Do A Review On Wes Craven's New Nightmare..... Well in my opinion this is THE WORST instalment to the series...In many places they just ruined the whole idea of the series such as.... Bringing Freddy into reality.... The whole reason which makes the movies so scary and interesting is that he controls your dreams and ect...And dont get me wrong, I love Heathers character Nancy But I Think When They Killed her off I 3 they should left her dead...On a scale from one to ten I give this movie a 4.....OH Yes and another reason I gave this movie a 4 is that....WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED TO HIS LOOK....they just......I dont know what New Line was thinking when they green lighted this movie... By: Alex K. [email protected] Friday, Nov, 22, 2002 Ps. Hopfully they do a better job with Freddy Vs Jason... Ive Seen pictures online and it looks AWSOME!!!!!!!-later |
| Hi I'm Aaron and I'll be reviewing A Nightmare On Elm Street 4: The Dream Master As a child i was always scared of Freddy. I didnt know why because I had never seen one of his movies. #4 the most successful Nightmare On Elm Street at the box office ranking in 49million dollars, only 5 million ahead of part 3. In my personal opinion I think after the success of part 3 they though oh ok this one will be easy. We'll they were wrong. Even though the death scenes and special effects are top notch, this is where Freddy turned into a comedian with these wise cracks that just portrayed his character as harmless. In my opinion I'll admit it I liked this movie. But they should not have brought back Kristi if they knew Arquette would not come back. But no they confused audiences by changing the character to Tuesday Knight. All and all this movie is not the most praised but it is a good 90 minutes to kill time and has an interesting plot. | Hi. My name is Stickly and I'm going to do a review on Nightmare on Elm Street .First of all, I would have to say this is the BEST. I first heard about the movie from my Mom. She told me she watched the movie around my age (15). She also told me who Freddy is and what he is. After telling me, I wanted to see it so badly, so we bought it on DVD, and let me tell you, I can't get enough of it! First of all, the special effects. Sure they look like poo compared to today's sp. effects, but with what the filmmakers had to use, they used it to the best of their abilities. The most "shocking" visual effect that I've seen yet, would probably have to be Glen's diminish. All of that blood gushing out of the bed, I was stunned. Second, Heather Lagenkamp did a wonderful job playing Nancy, and Robert Enguland (five stars from me), for playing Freddy. Last, my favourite part would probably have to be the bathtub scene. Not because you get to see the stuntwoman's boobs, but how original the idea was; falling asleep in the bathtub, next, being pulled down in the tub by Freddy. I keep the radio turned on when I'm in the tub now :) By: [email protected] Jan. 3rd, 2003 |
| I have a Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master review if you do not mind. Here it is. A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master was a good movie although I don't agree on how Freddy Krueger could have come back if his soul was erased with Holy Water. The Dog bringing him back with flames of urination was just not the way to do it. I do not like how when Freddy killed Kincaid with the glove, he wasn't bleeding in real life like others have before. I would have liked it to be one way or the other in dreams. You are lying there and blood occurs as it is happening or you are enacting your dream as in Freddy's Dead where Spencer was punching the walls. Also in part 3 when Phillip is used as a puppet. Its hard to tell if parts like that are dreams or reality. In part 1 when Nancy was pulled 10 feet under her bathtub. If her mother would have walked in at that time would she see Nancy lying there in the tub or down in the bathtub? Enough of that. That is one thing that doesn't make sense in the movies. Freddy killing the survivors of Part 3 might have been a good idea at the time. He made a daring choice because if Kristen wouldn't have brought someone else in, it would have been over. I like how the kids were killed in this one. Great way for Freddy to be in a sequel. The Dream Master. I still don't get how she got all of her friends powers if Freddy had their souls. And also doesn't make sense in the next movie. Freddy is reborn in her dreams?? How did that happen? if he's not alive how did he make her dream that? Doesnt make sense to me. :p ~Michael March, 1, 2003 |
| My name is Joe and Im going to review Wes Cravens New Nightmare. I personally didnt really like this movie and I dont know why. Freddy isnt shown much in this one until the end and thats one of the things I didnt like. I sorda did like the look of the new Freddy and I liked how they had some of the starts from the previous Nightmare on Elm Streets play themselves in this movie. But overall this movie wasnt as good as the previous ones. I would give it 2 stars out of 5. I really hope Freddy vs. Jason does better than this movie. By: Joe On: June 18, 2003 |
| Freddy's Dead I think this instalment is severely underrated, I certainly value it more than my least favourite Part 5. I liked how they did not state exactly who 'John Doe' was, and in my opinion, he is clearly the kid, forget his name, Alice's child from Part 5, but grown. The film would have been a lot better with A) Only the Johnny Depp cameo; no Roseanne, B)None of those terrible lame jokes C)Better ending; more satisfying. However, aside from the plastic-esque Freddy make up, I think the special effects and make up is an asset to this film. Overall I enjoyed it. By: Crieff Moncrieff June 15, 2004 |
| For all of the Fddy Fans out there, I will be reviewing Wes Cravens New Nightmare. Frankly, I believe that this movie isnt as bad as people claim it to be. Yes, there were many similarities to the first instalment of the Nightmare series, but overall a good ending to the Freddy Krueger saga. It has a good story line and was critically acclaimed by many, one of which is me. Introducing the characters as themselves (Heather Langenkamp, John Saxon, Wes Craven) was a beyond brilliant idea, as well as introducing a child to make the story more vulnerable. With Freddy being brought into reality instead of fantasy/dreams it helped produce the thought that Freddy wont just kill you in your dreams, he will kill you in your real life. With Julie being dragged across the ceiling just like Tina in the first, it is somehow bringing closure between both of the movies. As well as Wes Craven being the person bringing Freddy into the "real" world. Craven held the key to Freddy and his character becoming more evil and his nightmares predict the things that are going to happen, like Robert England telling Heather that Craven was as close to finishing the story as Dylan was to God. So that right there is Wes predicting the story before it actually happens. The casting is just great, especially having the characters in the movies playing themselves. It was definitely a twist in the cast of characters and added more drama to the story. Knowing that they could really die...I mean REALLY die is definitely terrifying. The graphics were great, especially when her husband was being killed. Whenever Heather plays the character of Nancy at the end, Freddy is waiting for her to say something to John Saxon, "I love you too, Daddy". And that is telling Freddy that she is ready to take on the role of Nancy one more time. Once again, bringing closure to the whole story by going back to the beginning and defeating him (again). I believe that this is one of the best instalments to the Nightmare on Elm Street series, next to the first and third. By: Amber Meza June 27, 2004 |
| Nightmare on Elm street 3 was one of the greatest Freddy movies, and the parts when Kristen brings Nancy into the dream and when Freddy tricks her is the best part. It is a little strange that Dr.Campbell from Freddy vs. Jason looks so much like Dr. Neil from this movie. The ending was sweet when Dr.Neil is asleep with that Malaysian dream doll by him and when the light goes on in the paper machey 1428 house, but they shouldnt of replaced Kristen with Tuesday Knight and kept Patricia Arquette.
