Mozenrath
Mozenrath's Past
Mozenrath was once a citizen of the Five Kingdoms. He went to school to become a powerful sorcerer, like his father. You see, the two never spent much time together, because Moze's father was often too busy. But Mozenrath looked up to him, wanting to be just like him.Somewhere along the way, Mozenrath lost sight of that; he still wanted to be a powerful sorcerer, but started to go after his own ambitions. He never really had time for friends, and was never really close to anybody. He had a girlfriend or two, which he had used for his own gain.
Mozenrath was at the top of his class, but by about age 15 or 16, the Head Master of Cosmos High had caught wind of the fact that Mozenrath was beginning to develop evil ambitions. (This was based on an encounter Mozenrath had had with the eight-year-old, Prince Yusuke.) Mozenrath was suspended from school, until a meeting with the High Queen, Hikaraseru, took place.
Mozenrath never met with the queen. A week later, he got together with several animal demons, and tricked Kikiyo into helping them, too, and an attack was launched on the Five Kingdoms.
Hikaru, upon seeing the destruction that was taking place, cried out. A brilliant light emitted from the four-year-old's body, ultimately stopping the attack. It was her love for her people and her kingdom that saved everybody.
Mozenrath was knocked unconsious by the incredible impact. Queen Hikaraseru could not use her scepter on him right away, so Mozenrath was taken to a secret cave until the morning.
Unfortunately, the cave wasn't such a secret, as a certain sorcerer named Destane, upon hearing of the attack on the Five Kingdoms, saw promise in Mozenrath. He followed the group to the cave, and when they left Mozenrath there, Destane took him back to the Land of the Black Sand, but not before destroying the cave.
When Mozenrath came to, he had no memory of the Five Kingdoms or his inner powers. Destane basically lied to Mozenrath, saying that he, Destane, had raised Mozenrath as his own, after the wizard's parents were killed in an accident.
Mozenrath worked as Destane's apprentice for about a year or so. As time went on, Destane began to feel uneasy about Mozenrath, because it was apparent that the young wizard could be more powerful than he. And the more intimidated Destane felt, the harder life was for Mozenrath.
Finally, one day, a certain flying eel overheard destane's plan to eliminate Mozenrath. Xerxes and Mozenrath had become close in the time Mozenrath had stayed in Destane's kingdom, and Xerxes didn't want to lose a friend.
It was that night when Mozenrath stole a certain gauntlet Destane always wore. Mozenrath simply waited until the older sorcerer had fallen asleep, and then stolen it. It was a rude awakening for Destane.
