Before it’s Goodbye

This poem is in relation to Max’s feelings in “And Jesus brought a Casserole” 

-Dark Angel, Season 1

You & me have been through a lot

You are practically all I’ve got

Then I started falling for you

But I just couldn’t say the words “I love you”

I kept putting it off

Until one day I got shot

All these problems, but it just wasn’t enough?

Shot  in the heart, I’ve got it tough!

There I was about to die

& you were the only guy on my mind

So I stare into your bright blue eyes

For one last time, before it’s goodbye

I tried to say “I love you” & set the record straight

I tried but unfortunately it was too late

So never put it off until the last minute

Because if you never say it you know you will regret it!
