| When Hotaru was a child she was in her father's laboratory while he was showing some people around the lab. Hotaru was looking through a glass covering when something flashed inside the glass. Whatever was in the glass exploded. Everyone in the lab, except Professsor Tomoe, were killed. Professor Tomoe was so heart broken over Hotaru that he didn't even care when he gave Pharoh 90 his soul so that Hotaru would be able to live. Pharoh 90 gave Hotaru the life of an evil entity named Mistress 9. Through Hotaru's life she was always trying to get rid of the evil inside her. Finally when she didn't want Mistress 9 to hurt her friends she beat the evil inside of her and transformed into the Scout of Destruction and Rebirth, Sailor Saturn. | |||||||||||||
