| When I first got on the Internet, I was racking my brain to think up an s/n. I finally decided on Princeps Augustus, the official title of the Imperator Octavian. It conveyed a sense of classicism and ruthless wisdom, and suited me. So this site derives its name from that. At this site you will find links to the Emeriqua series and affiliated sites. The Emeriqua series is a brainchild of mine, one set in a future gone horribly wrong yet not unlike our own. Worth a read here, (just click on the link below) or go to struckmute.com to see them. If you feel like it, sign the guestbook. Pax Ex. |

| III/XVI/MMII: I've been busy lately. I'm about halfway done with the first "Slave: IX" comic book, which you might not have heard about if you happen to not be 1) family 2) involved with Struckmute or 3) my stalker (I don't have one, but I'm accepting applications. :D) But anyway, it's set about 500 years before the Emeriqua Series and it's about a religious prisoner of the reborn Sophiate Union. Kind of a dark artsy Christian comic meets "The X-Files" done with a blend of manga and realist artistic styles. Nothing much happens in the first issue; I introduce the characters and their backgrounds. I MIGHT also do little two-page "Slave: IX" spreads for Struckmute Magazine, not sure about that. I have a few ideas that wouldn't make a full comic book but would do a lovely two pages. But since I'll have to scan the pages to send to Matt Frink @ Spontaneous Combustion Comics (he's the guy that's gonna publish "Slave: IX") I might put a page or two up on a brand-spanking-new Slave: IX website as well as a way to order issues. Since it's a rather sporadic production schedule, I won't be able to do subscriptions. On another note, what's with all the Bush bashing I've seen recently? Just because the guy pulled us out of the ABM Treaty (which we were technically out of since '92 when the Soviet Union fell) he's been branded as a nuclear hatemonger. Good grief. He wasn't my first pick for President (I will vote for the Libertarian candidate next election) but he was a solid second. He's just doing his job, and a better one than Clinton ever did. If you have serious issues with him, fine. If you just don't like him because he isn't a Democrat (like so many people I meet), GROW UP. What else springs to mind? Can't really think of anything. So that's that, I guess. Pax Ex. IV/V/MMII: Haven't updated the Codex in a while, I feel bad about that. But I have a bunch of news. Look up for a moment at my links. One of them is "CDI Productions", a movie production company I had the distinction of working with for the past several months. I wrote them a movie script based off of some of their basic ideas, but the "Exhilaration" (name of the movie) project got canned about a week ago due to poor actor management. I managed to buy full rights to the script from CDI in exchange for 1% of all proceeds I ever get from it. So presuming I ever get enough money to buy equipment, I might start filming. Hold on-I just got an idea. I'm gonna build a page dedicated to the resurrection of the "Exhilaration" project (complete with details), and you readers just might be able to help me out. I'll have a link to it by Sunday if all goes well. Work on Slave: IX has come to a crawl. I'm halfway done with the first issue and I'm stuck on concepts. I have an idea for the second and third issues, but I have to get there first. Ah well, I'll figure something out. Thank you, and Pax Ex. IV/VII/MMII: I've got the "Exhilaration" page all rearin' and ready to go. In other news, apparently I'm running out of room for the Codex Principus. So I'm gonna move some of the older entries to a new page in the near future for your viewing pleasure. Pax Ex. (Edit VI/XVII/MMII: The "Exhilaration" project has been scrapped. Sorry, I know that maybe two of you are going "Aw, shucks!" out there.) IV/XXIV/MMII: I've revamped the site yet again; now I've got a opening page and I'm putting some additionals on the Emeriqua section: an Emeriquan/English primer, a main characters bio, and pics of said main characters. Enjoy. Pax Ex. IV/XXV/MMII: An update a day! Don't get used to this, folks. :D But as I'm sure you all don't know (or at least didn't), I am an artist. I work in many mediums, and I have decided to get a site dedicated to my artwork. Right now it sucks, but I'm working on it. It's on a British server, so you might/might not be able to link there. But it's at mysite.freeserve.com/stuartrichards and it contains some art and it's all direct linkable (as opposed to Geocities). So that rocks. Pax Ex. V/XXI/MMII: I have just builded unto myself an bulletin board! The link is above. It rocks. You want to click it and post something. I know you do. So why don't you stop reading this and do so? Pax Ex. VI/XVII/MMII: I changed the look of the whole site. It's no longer sky/blue lettering, it's tan. The deal behind it is that when I was building the Fora Augusta, I decided that this color scheme looked better. Now I've gotten around to putting it on the rest of my site. Also, the dividers look cooler and I'm setting up a site directory. Enjoy, kiddos! In other news, 1) "Exhilaration" is canceled. Pretty much everything failed to materialize, and on top of it CDI is thinking about giving it another go. So it's theirs. 2) "Slave: IX" is now working like a well-oiled machine. A third person, Natalie Von Ewert, has joined the ranks of Spontaneous Combustion and is going to be inking, lettering, and shading: the whole nine yards. Everything you'll see between the covers is either an ad or the result of my ideas and her artistic abilities. No final release date figured out, we have to secure funding. But it's coming together.
