I am in the midst of an angels delight
Spiritless but illuminates us all alight
Through lips like cider or cherries or coal
I am a cremation a death a new soul

Her glittering eyes drip the love that she fiends
Her razor blade smile will devour my dreams
With the merry-go-round that I used to ride
That was torn from the night in the blink of an eye

And the city as everything falls fast asleep
Like a lover who sometimes forgets how to breath
With the shadows the loveless the music she sings
With the harlot in scarlet who strolls down the streets

I am in the arms of an angels delight
Of a beautiful phantom inflaming the night
Dance to our graves in embers and fright
Consume me my seraph my lovely alight
