Everything is better now

As if in a dream
Being led by a firefly
They give her butterfly wings
And liquid to sooth the burns

But everything is better now

I heard a ghost in the burning fog
It was dragging it's limbs across the ground
As smoke wandered from an open mouth

But everything is better now

I'm bleeding from my eyes
As I clutch onto this gaping hole in my side
Where she had taken a piece of me

But everything is better now

She'll remove my skin and invite me to dance
Under the falling sky
Bringing down the moon for my crooked spine

But everything is better now

I hold this rib cage
And swallow with cough drops and cigarettes
Moving to the pace of a winter breeze

But everything is better now

I can feel my body moving in unnatural angles
In a dream where all that is left is to die

But everything is better now

Lost in a breeze
In the swift tounge of a November chill
We are there waiting for the rain

And everything is better now

There were dark clouds covering God's eyes
They were always there
There for you and me

And everything is better now
