Back to My Writings
I know it was your birthday yesterday
It would have been five years for us
Our time together happened in the flicker of an eye
Just a flash from my camera bulb
I developed the pictures the other day
And there you were inside my home
Just as I've always remembered you
Just as I'll always remember you
I imagine her blowing out her candles
Smiling with presents and ice cream
Friends and family gathered around the table
Singing 'till thy kingdom come:
Mutum est pictura poema
Dissapearing into your hair would be nice
But I wish that I could die there as well

Pictures always kill me
