| My review on some of Michael Crichton's novels that I have read |
| In my opinion, Michael Crichton is one of the best Authors of our time. Many of his books have become movies, some even blockbuster hits, (Jurassic Park), though the movies don't capture half of the action as the novels in my belief. He has the ability to educate the reader while at the same time explaining the story. |
| Review of the books I have read by Michael Crichton, scale 1-10 Prey- Very good plot, I learn more from Michael Crichton books than I do from school sometimes. This novel would make a very good movie, has a lot of action and, as always, is very informative. Rating- 8 Jurassic Park- First Crichton book I ever read, awesome, just the shear amount of action, suspense, and insight, full of scenes that you can just picture in your mind while you read. Rating-10 Sphere- Another great book, not only for all the action, (though there is a lot), but for the insight on so much of the story line that helps to understand a great deal on what's going on in the book. Rating-9 Andromeda Strain- More action than you could of thought could happen in a lab, good storyline, lots of detail. Rating 8 Timeline- Great book, full of suspense and action, has plenty of knowledge on quantum physics, (read the book to see what I mean), plenty of action scenes. Rating-10 Congo- Good, not great, Has a lot of action in parts of the book, good storyline and plot. Rating-7 Jurassic Park The Lost World- Very good book, almost as good as the original, if you won't read it because the movie was bad, here's some encouragement, almost nothing in the book happens in the movie, except maybe two scenes. Anywho, another great book. Good plot and storyline, easy to follow. Rating-9 The Terminal Man- Pretty Good, I like a lot of action and this book had a good amount. A lot of information on brain surgery. Rating-7 The Great Train Robbery- Very good plot line, sort of a slow moving book though, very informative, the explanations are very helpful. Rating-5 Airframe- Pretty good, not as much action as I like to see but the plot and storyline are exceptional, great attention to detail. Rating-7 A Case of Need- Very good, you would never guess the ending, its got a great plot and a great ending. Rating- 8 |
