LURE of the SERPENT:TOURNAMENT REPORT

I would first like to thank and congratulate the Prince of Beauport for organizing this tournament

From the get go things seemed tough at every table, if Montreal had been the "bleed" and "deflection" festival in June, this time around, things were radically different. Combat and Vote decks were engaged in ruthless struggles at every table!

The first rounds and the final itself were characterized by close games, where victory points were harshly won by Methuselahs.(Some did benefit from inexperienced or passive players at their table but hey! that's part of the game isn't it?)

**I would recommend to new players or those among us who are coming back to the game, to take the time to read the latest rulings/clarifications and tournament rules to help them in their future games.
(you can follow a link to these on my first page)

On a personal note, I had a difficult day: In the first round I managed to finally rip out one victory point from my prey's (Pierre Hugues) never dying Ventrue deck. It was too little too late though, Mark (the guy who entered the final round with the most VPs) already had 5 vamps out and tons of pool to back them up.My second round was disastrous and all I could manage to do was to be ousted last!

Congragulations to Danny Hall from Montreal for winning the tournament with his Toreador
"Vote Deck".

Interesting note: 4 of the 5 finalists were from Montreal, 2 of them from my playgroup!!!

Here are some pictures taken at the tournament:
