Martial Mayhem--Captain Chaotica!!'s Season Five Ranma 1/2 Pics!
(place S5 title screen here)
Episode 2: When a Guy's Pride and Joy is Gone!
Mousse's readheaded Japanese twin sister?! Ranma-chan with the LONG hair that the untying of the Dragon's Whisker caused. What it ACTUALLY did was make the hair grow all over ground and into the next block and down the street.....this picture makes her look somewhat normal. The deal is, if it's not tied with the whisker, Ranma's hair will grow so fast that he'll go through his entire LIFETIME'S worth of hair in only one week. He just learned about that now, which is why he doesn't look so happy in this picture. "It's gone? NOOOOO!" Ranma looks rather unhappy as his HUGE long hair breaks off suddenly after a battle--it must already be gone, even though it's been less than a week! The real reason is that the Dragon's Whisker's _warantee_ ran out...and it no longer has its hair-growth powers. Anyway, doesn't he look CUTE here? Kinda reminds me of a less-gothic Vincent Valentine for some reason, with the thin black strands hanging in the face...very Final Fantasy-ish in SOME way, at least, that's for sure...
(In case you're wondering why I only took two pictures, both of Ranma with longer/looser hair, from this entire two-parter, the answer is: A. There wasn't much else that was different, unique, or cute to take pictures of, except for the enemies and they were so STUPID-looking! B. I'm running out of room and trying to be a bit more conservative with my screen-shotting now. And C. I like guys with long flowing hair, so bite me. Hee hee.)
Episode 3: Ryoga's Proposal!
"What's it to you, furball?!" Ryoga is NOT happy when the Ghost Cat--yeah, he's BA-ACK...calls him "pathetic" for not being able to tell Akane how he (Ryoga) feels, and beats him (the cat) silly. "Can mryeww tell mee the weeay to Furrrinken High?" So the Ghost Cat temporarily takes over Ryoga's body, so that he can tell Akane that Ryoga loves her FOR him. That's his payment for Ryoga's saving his life earlier. (How does one save the LIFE of a Ghost Cat, anyway? Isn't it already DEAD, hence the name, "Ghost Cat"?!) At any rate, Ranma may be cuter as a "cat"-human, but it's still works on Ryoga. For one thing, those FANGS! They're so much better on a cat than on a pig! Possibly the Tendos' strangest houseguest yet... Cat-Ryoga sees Genma-Panda's tail twitching back and forth and can't STAND it, he sees it as a yarn ball to play with so he POUNCES! Akane looks on in disbelief. A purrfect little nap. Ryoga curls up to sleep, cat-fashion, DIRECTLY after eating a big meal.....of nothing but fish... "Will you stupid cats shut UP?! I'm tryin' ta sleep!" Except that one of them isn't REALLY a cat... Here comes the bride--don't insult her dress or she'll slam your head in with a mallet! The Ghost Cat/Ryoga has a dream of Akane marrying him... A dutiful "son in law" The Cat Ghost decides to start buttering up his "future father in law" by giving him a backrub. (A backrub from Ryoga...hmmmn....or maybe Mousse...mrreOW!) "Mrreow!" A kitty-cat jumping up on you to say hello when you return from school or work may be cute when it's a REAL cat, but when it's a human of the opposite gender that you're not really involved with it's a little awkward... "Don't take it so hard!" Here's something else you don't see every day...a cat PETTING a human. In this case, the Cat Ghost, now back out of Ryoga's body, is trying to calm him down when Ryoga gets HORRIBLY embarrassed after learning exactly WHAT his body has been up to for the last three days! He's been acting EXTREMELY weird in front of Akane against his will and wants to KILL somebody...namely, the cat...
Episode Four: Genma Takes a Walk
"They're such good friends!" Kasumi, clueless as usual, completely FAILS to see the arguing and anger between Genma and Soun... Roughin' It Genma and Ranma camp out after leaving the Tendos'. Back off, ruffian! Kuno gets Ranma's attention his usual way... Roses for my love! Kuno moves in on Akane after Ranma moves out... Kuno Attacks! Thinking that Ranma is finally out of the "virtuous Akane Tendo's" life forever since he's moved out of the Tendo's house, Kuno takes his sword to the layabout ruffian! ENGARDE! This is a nice picture for Kuno, I think. Soun Tendo, lookin' kinda sly. A nice close-up of Akane, Nabiki and Kasumi's father. Ya know...he's not half bad-looking, for an older guy... Ringleader Ranma! Father and son put on an impromptu circus show in an attempt to raise money, after they move out. "Mi casa es su casa!" Kodachi acts EVER so sweetsy while insisting that Ranma and Genma can use anything they want when they stay over at her lovely home... Workin' out! Ranma enjoys the excercise equipment over at the Kunos'... Ahhhh...--and the hot-tub! A couple of very nice beefcake shots here--ladies, enjoy! GET OUT OF OUR HOUSE! Meanwhile, her brother, attempting to move in with the Tendos, suffers a rather...different reaction... (Notice that even KASUMI is pissed off!) Genma and Soun actually martial-arts fight each other! Um...kinda... Oh, puh-leeze! The Kunos and Tendos give their honest reaction to the battle.
Episode Five: The Gentle Art of Martial Tea Ceremony!
"Shampoo! Look what I got!" Mousse waves his winning ticket to go participate in the three-legged obstacle course race, assuming Shampoo will be interested. She is. She's interested in competing in the race...with RANMA as her partner, not Mousse, of course! Don't you guys EVER look where you're going?! Mousse is in such a hurry to reach Shampoo with his news that he pays NO attention to what or WHO his bike is running over. Poor Ryoga. I'm guessing here that stomping people flat on a bike is another Amazon trait, along with having goofy names, beautiful long hair, not using the door, and being really good at glomping. Well, at least Mousse has an excuse, he literally CAN'T SEE! Shampoo isn't blind when she runs Ranma over... "Well, aren't I the lucky one?" Akane reacts sarcastically to Mousse's half-hearted acceptance of her invitation. "Well, you weren't my FIRST choice, but you'll do!" In this picture, it almost looks like he's trying to eat her hand....kinda odd. But funny! "GET your mind out of the gutter!" Ukyo flattens Ryoga when he suddenly has an image of her and him in the roles of characters from a steamy romantic movie he was watching earlier. It's a running gag all through this episode--a lot of the main people watched that movie at the beginning, then they keep having little flashbacks of that one scene at random times. Ryoga just has bad timing. Our new couple? Hey, I rather like the pairing of Mousse and Akane! She'd be WAY better for him than Shampoo and she has the personality of what a REAL Amazon should be like, if you ask me. WAY closer to that than that purple-haired submissive hussy, Shampoo! Back off! The mixed-up couples--Ranma and Shampoo, and Akane and Mousse, face off against each other during the race. Notice that Akane is actually HUGGING Mousse! Lucky girl... "AAAAAAHHH!!!" Bravely defending his partner woman, a reflex action, or just random dumb circumstance? You decide, but at any rate, Mousse is actually helping save Akane's LIFE in this picture...in his dorky little way...
Episode 9: The Matriarch Takes a Stand!
"You can't be serious!" Okay. The guy in the picture here is nobody, just a random member of the Tea-Ceremony Peoples' clan, but I could not BELIEVE my eyes when I first saw him. Any Final Fantasy 7 fans out there--you'll know what I mean when I say this: How the HELL did TSENG of the Turks get into RANMA 1/2?! (That would be damn interesting actually...I'm also imagining Kuno glomping Reno because he has RED hair in a PIGTAIL...) Anyway, just a random nobody. But a COOL-lookin' nobody! Tea-Boy's Back! and he's at the Tendos, which you didn't see before. Here he begs for Akane's help with a major crisis his clan is facing. Ya know, even if he IS a dork, I've decided I kinda like Sentaro. "The secret lore of our clan..." Sentaro or "Tea-Boy" pores over the ancient scrolls in this rather artsy, shadowy shot. "Fine! I'll ask her myself!" Upon finding out that Sentaro would rather glomp than answer questions, Akane handles him her usual way and then stomps off. Nice kimono.
Episode 10: A Leotard is a Girl's Burden!
"I won't let you take those treasures, jerk!" This picture isn't really plot-important, but my my my, doesn't Ranma look extra-wiry here? Mmmm.... "HA ha ha ha ha ha!!" Kodachi Kuno has Ranma RIGHT where she wants him...and she knows it. Close call! Ranma BARELY manages to avoid falling out of the ring during his second Martial Arts Gymnastics challenge by balancing with one foot MOOSHED up against an audience member's face! In this case, Tatewaki Kuno, and serve him right. A sticky situation. Kodachi's mad leap to grab all three treasures at once ends badly...with her face-down in a pile of glue. Whoops.
Episode 11: The Mixed-Bath Horror!
"What a nice place!" The Tendo girls prepare to enjoy the hot springs. Nice scenery around here... Mmm-HMM! A nice picture of Ranma AND Ryoga wearing nothing but little towels, in a hot steamy environment. Ladies, enjoy!
Episode 12: The Frogman's Curse!
"Would you two please STOP DOING THAT?!" Akane is mortified as Mousse and Ranma, planning strategy in the bath (don't ask), stand up together--IN the "all-together"--a second time. (Lucky Akane...grumble grumble grumble...) Notice that Ranma is covered ONLY by a strategic splash of water. YOWEE! Hey, I DID warn you, I AM the Anti-Happosai, after all...heh heh heh... "Who would do such a thing?!" Shampoo? Genma? Ryoga? All FROGS? Say it ain't so!
Okay. "It ain't so." The Frog-Princess! Even though she's green and slimy now, this handsome Prince is perfectly willing to kiss the frog and turn it back into a fair Princess! Only SHE'D rather body-slam him into a wall than get kissed, and CAN...despite the fact that she's about a hundredth of his size... "PREPARE TO DIE!!" Mousse flips out and goes after Ryoga-Frog with a bunch of his weapons; not considering for a moment that that might be a bit of OVERKILL for something only three inches tall!
Episode 13: Revenge! Raging Okonomiyaki!
The Crepe King! He kinda reminds me of that one general from the early seasons of Sailor Moon, only with brown hair instead of red. I can't quite remember his name. One of the "-ite" people. (Jadeite, Nephrite, Zoicite...ya know, those guys.) "I might as well give up!" Ukyo breaks down in despair at the idea that her restaurant might never have any business again...
Episode 14: Ranma the Lady-Killer
Little sister, don't you do what your BIG sister done! No, seriously, in this picture, Kasumi's totally innocent, it's Ranma who's coming on to her! Ranma....um....uh...Don't you have enough suitors ALREADY?! Stupid spatula-girl back OFF! Shampoo glares sideways at Ukyo with much suspicion as the latter glomps "Ranma-honey". "Why, YOU...!" Ukyo suffers from Shampoo's revenge as the Amazon girl pins her to a tree with a bunch of....forks? "Are you all right?" Ranma places himself UNDER Akane as she falls off the roof of a building to save her. Although it sure LOOKS like something untoward is happening in this picture, it ain't.
