Martial-Artists and Amazons and Shapechangers, Oh, My!

From the Ranma 1/2 RPG...I decided to have a little fun with the title screen. (This isn't the way it originally looked)

Here you can find my OTHER Ranma pictures. This is everything from commonplace stuff like from the "Desperately Seeking Shampoo" OAV, to semi-obscure, such as a translated version of that Ranma RPG videogame for the Super Famicom! Sit back and enjoy.

MOVIES

Ranma 1/2 The Movie 1: Big Trouble in Nekonron, China (The Battle that Defies All Odds)

I have seen many pictures from the SECOND movie around the net, but hardly anything from this one. So I hope to help rectify that oversight by means of THIS nice screenshot collection. 34 of 'em--Kirin and Lychee, all seven of the Lucky Gods, and plenty o' significant (or funny) moments with our favourite regulars--we got it all. ENJOY!

Where's Ranma running to? That's what Mousse wants to know, as he finishes eating his ramen in this picture. (As hard as they work him at that Cafe, and as bad as they treat him, it's good to know that they DO indeed feed him! But I'll bet that bowl of ramen came out of his paycheck...)
I wanna know, too! Cologne or "Mackerel Jerky" wants in on the action as well.
ACK! YOU AGAIN! Guess who's BAA-AAACCCK...for all of about 30 seconds. (pout.) Yep, it's Tsubasa, everybody's favourite inanimate-object-impersonator and queen of the crossdressers! This is a little nothing scene at the beginning of the movie, but it's the ONLY time that Ukyo appears and Tsubasa's only re-appearance anywhere AT ALL since Season 3 (well, that I know of) so I thought it was worth taking a picture of.
"HUH?!" A nice shot of all three Amazons together, reacting to Happosai and Lychee's odd story. Originally Nabiki was in the edge of this shot, but she was so blurry and far back that I just cropped her out to get the three Amazons together as a "family".
A girl elephant-trainer? Well, why the heck NOT, I always say! Here's Lychee, the little Chinese girl with the great big temper. Wait, that describes a LOT of people...um...hang on...I'll think of a better description for her later...
Kirin, the "Pretty Boy Jerk". Yeah, here's a nice one of the Prince of Nekonron. A bit TOO pretty for my tastes and what is WITH that weird flower-thing on the back of his head...?
"You mean this scroll?" By sheer dumb luck, or bad karma, Akane finds herself holding the fateful scroll-half at EXACTLY the wrong time...!
There she goes... Kirin's airship has already taken off into the sky--with Akane on board! Whoops...
Spill it, old man. Nabiki cuts RIGHT through Happosai's crap with the dry wit and cynicism that we all know and love. And that is of course exactly why she's one of my favourite female characters.
Can't ANYONE around here learn to use the DOOR?! Now Kuno's rippin' off Shampoo's schtick...I wonder how long it'll take before she whips out the bonburri and starts death-kissing around Nerima again...
Lychee Here's a nice shot of the "tragic" little Chinese girl by herself.
Well, that's ONE way to get out of a wedding... Akane prepares to poison--ahem, I mean...feed, her groom-to-be a "lovely" homecooked meal. Well, I say that however bad it is, it's GOTTA be better than rice and pickles every single damn freakin' day...
Are we there yet? Ranma dangles beneath the airship and keeps a lookout on the way to Kirin's castle.
Awfully confident, ain't he? Akane hasn't agreed to marry him yet, and Kirin prints fancy wedding invitations anyway. Ranma takes this for exactly what it is--a challenge.
There it is. The fortress of Nekonron. Looks kinda tough, don't it?
Bishamonten, first of the Seven Lucky Gods. After beating this guy, it'll only be four more floors and four more challengers before Ranma can prove himself worthy of being a Princess of Wutai, and....oh, wait, wrong plotline. Hee hee hee.
"You're out of places to go!" The "Go Twins" as I call them, or the second and third Lucky Gods, react with shock to Ranma's discovery of how to beat them. Well, that, and he just split the damn castle in two...
They appear to be friends... In this picture, Jasmine the elephant makes the accquaintance of.....duh, don't know his name. The big fat guy who is the fourth Lucky God.
Queen Amidala, eat your HEART out! Akane models her lovely and very Star Wars: Episode 1-ish headdress for her wedding outfit. (Of course, this movie came FIRST...)
Hey, Shiva, long time no see! No, just kidding, this ain't the Summoned monster from Final Fantasy 7; it's Monlon, the fifth Lucky God, or should I say a Lucky GoddESS? Ah! Megami-sama! Anyway, I like her because she reminds me of a mix of Siren and Shiva...Also, her special attack was damn NASTY! It caused Ranma real pain and he never fought back against it successfully on his own. And he actually BLED. This cartoon is more lighthearted than that, usually, they don't SHOW blood very often! That little horrible sound when she tightened the wire around Ranma's arm...eeewww...shudder...
Battle of the Babes! Shampoo prepares to fight Monlon herself in order to let Ranma and Lychee escape. This movie is unusual in that Ranma doesn't actually defeat ALL the enemies himself; some of them are defeated by his friends instead!
"Wanna try it?" Ranma faces off against Ebiten, the sixth Lucky God. Prince Kirin himself is the Seventh, of course.
Um...you got the wrong girl! And another villianess is RESCUED by Mousse due to bad eyesight! (Yeah, I'm referring to Kodachi as a villianess, you gotta problem widdat?) He's part of the procession of characters that FLATTENS Ebiten before he has a chance to do much...
Interesting. Basically I just wanted a good shot of Ryoga, since he's in this movie but I hadn't really represented him properly yet. So, here he is finally. Ta-da!
Wow! Shampoo and Mousse react happily when they realise what Ranma is up to.
"I...am....very...pissed...OFF!!" Ranma glows like a radioactive leak in this picture, so angry at Kirin that his battle-aura is showing.
Awww, how sweet... Prince Kirin catches Lychee to save her life, wondering at how she would risk her life to get the scroll like that.
Finally! The two halves of the sacred scroll are one again!
Nekonron waves goodbye. From the ending credits, here's a shot of Lychee and some Lucky Gods waving goodbye from the deck of Kirin's ship.
"See ya!" And here are some of our favourite Nerima residents, waving goodbye back.
Well, that worked out. From the epilogue--a wedding photo of Kirin and Lychee.
AAAAARRRRGGGHHH!!! Also from the epilogue: all five cursed people scream at the same time upon realising that all that time, they were in China...and they never visited Jusenkyo! ACK!

OAVs

"Oh, Cursed Tunnel of Lost Love! Let My Love Be Forever!

Pig-Boy and Spatula-Girl! Ukyo and Ryoga fight back-to-back against the couple-cleaving ghosts in this rather nice dramatic action pose.
"Be brave, Shampoo! Your wounds are minor! Mousse's nearsightedness proves his undoing yet again--and perhaps saves the female Kuno twin's life! Not that she deserves it. On a side note--is it just me, or are their fighting styles dang similar? (Look into Kodachi's weapons-locker during her intro episode for one thing--YIKES! Armed to the TEETH!) I'd like to see these two get into a major duel sometime...that'd be awesome! But we'd let Kodachi regain consciousness, first.

Video Games

Shampoo goes to give Mousse the dreaded Amazon Glomp of Death, from the third fighting game, "Super Battle".
Genma-Panda Shies Away from Mousse, as our dear China-Boy swipes at him with a deadly weapon. One of MANY, of course...BWAHAHAHA!
Shampoo Fall Down Go Boom! From the SECOND Ranma fighting game, "Hard Battle", Mousse--this time actually wearing his glasses for a change--knocks that prissy Amazon princess right down on her butt. HA-ha!
(I don't like Shampoo much. You got a problem widdat?)
Mousse Wins the third Ranma fighting game. A rather pretty shot, I think. But I wish I could read Japanese...
The Cursed Forms in Battle From the Ranma RPG--here, everybody who can change HAS changed from being dunked with cold water but they're still fightin' strong anyway!
Mousse's intro in the game. He starts off supposedly evil and you have to fight him. BOO! (But, in character, I must admit...)
Mousse Wakes Up Turns out he was only being brainwashed with some kind of spell by the bad guys; he's not REALLY evil after all! Phew. Now he can fight on YOUR side and his special abilities in time prove dang useful.
Shampoo and Akane are Kidnapped! In this picture, the tied-up Shampoo is about to warn Mousse (and the others) not to come any closer, which is a startingly compassionate act, for her, considering it's towards HIM...
Take THIS! Fist of the White Swan! Here, Mousse uses one of his special moves on the VERY LAST enemy of the game. I apologise for the dark background which makes it hard to see but I couldn't really do anything about it. Anyway. We were supposed to have gotten this magical item to cut down the last enemy's powers so that it'd be even POSSIBLE to defeat him. We never got around to finding it! But Mousse's special abilities weakened him and strengthened us enough that we DIDN'T EVEN NEED the magic item! GO DUCK-BOY!
Japanese Screenshot Here's a picture from the original un-fan-translated version. In this shot, Girl-Ranma's using the Chestnuts Roasting technique on a bandit.
(I used to have other pictures from this game, like a fight between Ranma and Ryoga, the introduction of the Kuno twins into the plotline, Ranma and Akane sparring in the dojo, and more, but I accidentally erased them. ACK! Oh, well.)

Now Playing: A song that is supposedly Mousse's theme song from the third fighting game, "Super Battle". I played as him all through that game and don't REMEMBER that music, but, since I like it, and since it has to do with a Ranma videogame, it's appropriate to use here.
