Sal Velez Jr., native to Chicago's northwest side, grew up writing poetry and songs as an escape; this became his way of expression but music became his passion and what untimately captivated his heart. He studied artists such as Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Luther Vandross, Shaka Kahn and even Led Leppelin. He was fascinated by their styles of singing and song writing. This pushed Salvador to join acapella groups, church choirs, sing background or solo; music is his soul, his outlet and his love. |
