The hard ones! The cars that give you a hard time if your Delta is normal! You can try though...
If your engine is not tuned, then you will loose from the S3 in acceleration from standstill, you will catch up in 3rd and 4th and it will win you again in 5th gear... Yup, life`s a bitch...
Audi S3
The 16 valve models are more difficult from the 20 valve ones! Yup, believe it, the torque curve in the mid revs is better on the 16 Valve coupe! If you make good shifts, you shall win!
Fiat Coupe 16V Turbo, 20V Turbo Plus 6 Gear
For Delta HF `s over 270 PS! The Evo 6 model, is faster, thus, it needs more power to overtake. My Delta can beat it, but not from a standstill. This thing vanishes when from zero to 100 in less than 6...
Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI, Evolution VII
Ford Focus ST 170, RS
The atmospheric ST 170 should not be a serious problem for all normal Deltas, but it will need an improved one to beat the RS. It produces about 230 PS... Right?
TT 180 PS is a piece of cake. Look for the single exhaust and go for it! The 225 one is heavier than the S3 and it is slower in accelerating when in motion. Watch out for your gear shifts. They can be crucial!
Audi TT 180 PS FWD, Quattro 225 PS
SUbaru Impreza GT, WRX, WRX II, STi I&II
The Impreza is a good customer for all seriusly improved Deltas, but it beats the hell out of every original HF. Lets be realistic. In worst, it has 220 PS in real 4WD and it has a strong clutch!
Elise philosophy adapted by Opel. Low weight, few horses, short gears and high performance. Go for it. It will be next to you up until 120 km/h tops... Then its bye-bye!
