| THE C_NORDBY SUMMIT MT. EVEREST FOUNDATION |
| The C_NORDBY SUMMIT MT. EVEREST FOUNDATION was formed in December of 2000, in an effort to expidite one man's dreams to conquer the highest mountain on the planet Earth. Expidition fees for a summit attempt on Mt. Everest usually run about $85,000. This amount covers the cost of group climbing gear, transportation, climbing sherpas, and locally issued climbing permits. This cost does not include any personal climbing gear, training or preparation costs, or any expenses incurred by the estate of the climber while they are out of the country. Factoring in these other expenses, the total cost of climbing Mt. Everest is easily well over $100,000.00 USD. To help defray these costs, the C_Nordby Summit Mt. Everest Foundation was set up as a non-profit organization to raise money for C_Nordby's climb of Mt. Everest. This attempt to reach the summit will occur somewhere between 2010 - 2015, or sooner, pending the sucessful recruitment of a third party sponsor.
