Common name: Woolly monkey Measurements: Head-body length=390-580, Tail length=550-800, Hindfoot length=118-158, Ear length=25-37, Weight=3.6-10 Kg Description: Upper parts brown, grey or red brown underparts dark. Head round, face black, ears incospicuous. Tail prehensile, limbs and body robust and muscular. Pot belly rounded and protruding. Natural History: They live in tropical forests to 1800 meters. Diurnal, arboreal. Solitaries or in groups from 2 to 70 members. Feeds on ripe fruits, new leaves, seeds and invertebrates. Live in the middle and upper levels of the forest. Distribution: In Colombia they live in the Orinoquia and Amazonia regions and there are some populations in Bolivar and Cordoba departments.. Status: Low Risk least consern (IUCN 2003), Vulnerable (Rodríguez 1998). CITES Apendix II |

Common name: Black Ukari Monkey Measurements: HB=370-480, T=404-500, HF=116-147, E=25-37, Weight=2.2-2.5 Kg Description: Upper parts with long hairs black and white. Face black with some white hairs. Line of white Hairs around the nose and mouth. Feet and hands white. Natural History: They live in tropical forests to 500 meters. Diurnal, arboreal. Solitaries or in groups from 2 to 8 individuals. Feeds on seeds, fruits, leaves, and ants. Distribution: In Colombia they live in the Amazon. Status: Low Risk least concern (IUCN 2003), Vulnerable (Rodríguez 1998). CITES Apendix II |
