NON-US CARDS *** RECENT UPDATES *** LINKS *** OTHER RANDOM THINGIES
June 30, 2006
I just finished the last 2 episodes of the series, after spending a month feeling too apprenhensive to do so. I guess I was just still in shock that the English dub of Yu-Gi-Oh! is really done airing. As far as I can tell, I still am. I'm stll considering doing a GX guide of the same style, but if I do, I'm hoping to learn to to use HTML and photoshop so that I can make the GX site look cooler. That's what the kiddies like, apparently. (A cool look, that is. But GX too, i suppose...) I've been watching RAW GX episodes since episode 79, but I can't find torrents of any of the previous episodes (which need to be in .AVI format for me to use). Quite the bummer for me, because the RAW GX episodes have greatly improved my view of the series. While I thought the entirety of the original series was dubbed very well by 4KIDS (surprisingly), the 4KIDS dub of GX is rather appalling. Annoying voices, ridiculous name-changes, etc. Horoko from janime.info forums is heading up a subtitling project though, so I'm pretty excited about that. Doesn't look like they'll get to season 2 before it airs in the US though. I'm pretty sure I've finished all the episodes with "new" cards in them on here, and I may go back and fill in all the repeat eps, but only if I get really bored.
Thanks to everyone who cares.

Joey: Wassat, Gramps? Some kinda rare card?
Grampa: No touching! This card's so rare, it doesn't even really exist!
Kaiba: As if a third-rate duelist like Wheeler would even understand what that means... I, on the other hand have an entire case full of such 'rare cards' and I'll trade you every one of them for your Blue Eyes White Dragon!
Yugi: Holy shit! Those cards are t3h s3x!
Joey: I totally pooped my pants...
Grampa: I hate to break it to you, Kaiba, but Blue Eyes REALLY aren't that rare. Not only that, but this case is full of crappy common cards from "Legend of Blue Eyes" and "Metal Raiders". Honestly, I expected better from you, Kaiba.
Grampa: Now gather 'round kids and watch this video. It'll tell you everything you need to know about the rarest cards in "Duel Monsters".
Joey: Like my Red Eyes?
Grampa: No, Joey. Not like your Red Eyes.
