| DAY 1
ROUND 1 OPPONENT: Leigh Avery (Cmd_roy) ARMY: Blood Wolves (White Scars) RESULT: Loss MISSION: The Fog COMMENTS: Ahh another start to the year with hours of time at the holiday house painting at the early hours of the morning so I could play at Arc, yeah !. Anyways, Arc 04 started with me arriving with my guard army (which I haden't even got to play test yet) facing up against the infamous cmd_roy from the WAU forums. Oh how I enjoyed the game, I must say Leigh is a top guy to play against and his Blood Wolves are viscious on the charge, note to self : doesnt matter how far you set up to the back of the board , those bikes are gonna get you by second turn ! LOL Thanks for the game Leigh! any time brother! ROUND 2 OPPONENT: Luke Fransic ARMY: Gegagiva's Reapers ( Empererors Children) RESULT: Win MISSION: Deep Impact COMMENTS: Loved the mission , it was great, Luke was a top guy to play against and great to talk to about his army and stuff. unfortunatly with my heavy numbers of guard taking small numberd squads in diffrent areas all over the field, it made it hard for him to take the objectives back ROUND 3 OPPONENT: James Balnaves ARMY: Leonatos (Blood Angels) RESULT: Win MISSION: The Duel COMMENTS: OMG what a game, James is such a great opponent and a true gamer always playin his Blood Angels in the spirit of the army, As this was a game where you had to assasinate the enemys HQ, he sent his whole Death COmpany with jumpacks, accompanyed by the Death Company Chaplin flying down the field straight into heavy units of guardsmen, trying to break through my lines to get to the Master cheif who was sitting at the back of the combat. Well after countless turns and 30 dead guardsmen later, finally I got two killing blows with James rolling double ones on his chaplins saves wiping him out in the combat with the 60 guardsmen. Awsome game James hope to play ya again! DAY 2 ROUND 4 OPPONENT: Adrian Hunter (viper) ARMY: Viper 91 (Imperial Guard) RESULT: Loss MISSION: Armaggedon COMMENTS: oh god, one of my team mates from Intensicon, is now my opponent in Arcanacon... How Cool!, Viper is cool guard player, his paint jobs are awsome and the army is rock hard to get through. This army was awsome, I had a tough time trying to win this one, I had my Master Chief dragging the objective to his deployment zone, but finaly getting wiped out by plasma guns ( doesnt matter, he will respawn before the next game!) awsome game, filled with crappy dice rolls (all from me) Awsome game, great opponent, wanted to play that game all over again! ROUND 5 OPPONENT: Sam Loy ARMY: Death Watch Space Marines RESULT: Win MISSION: Pitch Black COMMENTS: Ahh , this kid i have known for ages, even back in the days when I used to run games for him and sgt. Benny during games night at GW. Sam is a great kid, unfortunatly he had bad luck during this mission, Spot lights were turned on and both his dreadies were out of play before the start of the third turn. When his two big units of marines came down, I was shitin myself thinkin " oh crap, game over" but I thought about it "what is the best way to take marines down" and thats it, hit em with number, and thats what I didn, hitting them with plasma guns, flamers, lasguns, autocannon shots, lascannon shots and also with the battle cannon to bring down the numbers before I assulted them, wiping them all out. Great game sam, hope to see ya at the next club! ROUND 6 OPPONENT: Glyn Hullin ARMY: Space Wolves RESULT: Draw MISSION: Thunderhawk Down COMMENTS: Oh god, from playin a guy I used to run games for, to playin a guy I used to work with! in the words of the Hurricane " Whats up wif dat!?" Anyways, I suprised glyn with my secret plan that had worked in game 3 and 5, which is ALL OUT ASSULT, just takin glyns marines down in assult ! you should of seen his faces when I was taking down his marines!, unfortunatly it would of been a win for glyn if he had one model an inch closer to the objective! ARRRH Draw!!! See ya at the club Glyn Well thats my report and congrats to my mate Dan who actually one the tournie this year! bout time boy! |
