·
A reading project
on Orthogonal Arrays in Indian Statistical Institute under the guidance of
G M Saha (Stat-Math Department)
·
A project on the
“Western culture influence on Indian Social and Cultural Behavior”
Project guided by Probal
Chaudhuri and Anup Dewanji.
This project involved the statistical formulation of
the problem and then collection of data on the questionnaire set. Inference were made
on the basis of data collected from Kolkata. Fairly
intricate codes were written in SAS for the analysis of the ordinal and nominal
data using Hypothesis Testing and Test of Association. It was observed that younger generation is
more influenced than older generation from western culture.
·
A project on
finding “Association between education level of SC/ST people and change in
generation”.
Project guided by Probal
Chaudhuri and Anup Dewanji.
The project was based on the data collected from Hoogly (a village in West Bengal). It was observed that the
change in generation has changed the education level of SC/ST people. For the
analysis codes were written in SAS.
·
Assistance in the
project taken from RBI(kolkata).
Project guided by Debasis Sengupta ,
Bimal Roy and
Anup Dewanji.
This project required the estimation of life of currency
notes. Some preliminary analysis and data correction was done by me.
·
A project on Time Series Data.
Project guided by Atanu
Biswas.
Monthly data, on the number of deaths due to poisonous
wine in a county of US, of 12 years was studied. AR(2)
was fitted on the stationary data. Crude data was made stationary after
adjusting for seasonality and trend.
·
A course on
National and International Statistical Systems organized by the Central
Statistical Organization (under the govt. of Ministry of Statistics and Planning
Implementation) at New Delhi, India.
This training exposed me to the Indian Statistical
System along with how statistics was being applied in framing various
government policies and programs and also an introduction to the statistical
systems of foreign countries like the USA, UK and Australia.
·

packages (statistical/software).
·
Playing T. T. and
Badminton just for fun.
