About Us

Allow me to introduce myself and my partner. We live in the Kansas City area on the Missouri side and lead pretty much typical lives like everyone else do around these parts. I just graduated from college with a degree in Information Technology (IT); I'm currently looking for a job in the field, but at times like now, the job market is a brutal "cat-eat-cat" world. When I'm not administering my sites and network here, we occassionally spend quiet moments in the evening together. My partner specializes in Shipping/Receiving in a Warehouse environment. We've been together 3 years and recently exchanged private vows atop a building overlooking the Plaza during the Christmas season.

I'm a multi-cultural woman: White, Deaf and Lesbian where everything is different for each culture. It was never easy to search for social acceptance among everyone, but I learned one thing in life..... Just be who I am!

My partner's name is GadzooksGiggles. The best thing I love about my partner is her being who she is, and her accepting me for who I am, too. We share alot of our interests together, but it is always good to keep a few things different... Life wouldn't be interesting if everything we share are the same stuff we like, wouldn't it?

We defected from TalkCity a few months ago after the big fiasco over there and set up our own chatroom called #LesbianPRIDE at ChatUniverse. Some of the regular TC chatters ventured over to ChatUniverse and a few other chat services to find new friends. Feel free to go to ChatUniverse and say hello in our room.

I occassionally play alot of PC games such as strategy, FPS, puzzle-solving and a few to name, and lately, I've been playing Deus Ex for the fourth time. GadzooksGiggles also play various games, and at the moment, she's been having heavy wars in her Age of Empire series game.

We also read books and magazines that interest us the most and sometimes watch tv if anything is good. Our primary fixes are the Fox and Sci-Fi channels. I also love Junkyard Wars, Malcolm In the Middle, That '70s Show and a few other good ones. Once in awhile, we will watch AnimalPlanet if our cats have their way.

Shortly, we will be including pics of our 3 cats in the photo album. I have a 2-year-old, unbelievably huge cat named Stormy. She's quite a personality, and she never ceased to amuse us everyday with her kittenish antics. We also have two other cats, a sweet Tabby with white paws named Mittens and a huge Tuxedo cat with a very aloofish personality named Whiskers. It's too bad we can't tell our cats to "wait 'til they have their own kids". LOL

When we have the time, we do visit with our local friends and family (my partner grew up in this area) when the weather permits. Lately, the weather is so hot, I swear the neighborhood cats looked like they were planning a pool-side party when the apartment office closes in the evening. Other than being with our friends and family, I also work on my websites and is in the process of co-authoring a new website with a good friend from New Zealand. I will announce on PrideStorm's Home when the new site is online.

I think that covers just about our main interests here. The next stop is the photo album. Please click Next to look at the pictures of us, friends, and unusual tourist spots.
