Angel Juan Estrada has been boxing since the age of eight.  He's currently fourteen years old and lives in San Diego with his parents, brother, and two sisters. His love of the sport has not swayed his dedication to his education.  He has always earned excellent grades in school and graduated fifth grade with high scores in testing, as well as receiving the Presedential Education Award.  He holds a 4.0 grade point average and is a seminar GATE student at Horace Mann Middlle School.  He is also a representative for his school's Associated Student Body.  He begins his training at 5 a.m. every morning, and runs five miles before school.  After school, he completes his homework and begins his two-hour daily training. He has accomplished many

He has stopped 4 of his last 5 opponents, three of which the referee stopped the contest in the first round.  His ultimate goal is to compete in the 2004 Olympics and bring home the gold medal.  He would like to become boxing's first gold medalist ever to come out of San Diego, California.  He plans on attending college and becoming an architect.  He also hopes upon becoming a World Champion, so that he'll be able to help all the youth who may be in need.
