| My Experience With Epilight Laser Hair Removal |
| Dated : April 16, 2002. |
I had my first epilight laser hair removal session in bombay on 16th april, 2002. I had gone two days before hand to the doctor for consultation and was satisfied with the facilities he had. I discussed the costs involved and the various other things. Like i was curious to know everthing about epilight laser, I am sure you would be too before taking a plunge. Here are some of the things you should keep in mind and know before goping for the laser. This is purely based on my experiences. How Much Does It Cost? Well. It depends on the area to be treated. The doctor will usually give you a estimate when you go in for a consultation. But it always works out to be more expensive than what the doctor tells you. Usually the doctor will charge you according to the units of laser shots that have been used to treat your face. The machine shows the number of shots used to treat your skin. For my face it came to like 62 shots of laser. And each shot is about Rs 180 appx. So if u have a decent amount of hair on your face it will cost you around Rs 9,0000 to Rs 10,000 for the first session. What Should You Know Before Your Treatment? If your skin is very sensitive and you have coarse hair on the face then you should ask the doctor if he can give you an injection to reduce the pain that you will experience during laser. It will make it less painfull. You should also know that one sitting will never get rid of all your facial hair. No matter what the doctor tells you. Depending on the type of your facial hair you may see some differnce. Like I have very coarse facial hair. So will atleast need three to four sittings. So you should be prepared to spend atleast Rs 20,000 to Rs 30,000 for the entire treatment. Is Epilight Laser Hair Removal Permanent? The fact is that during treatment a light beam is passed through your skin that can treat a number of hairs at the same time by burning its folicilles. So whatever hair has burned down won't grow back. Atleast thats what I have been told. But you also have to keep in mind that not the entire face can be effectively treated in just one session, because the laser may not have covered some areas of the face and the other fact is that hair grows in cycles. Thats why the hair that was not there on your face when the first laser treatment was done could not be treated. That hair if and it grows later will be treated in the second session. |
