| Theme Music "What About Me" from WWF Vol. 5 Entrance The arena darkens as her music hits and at the 12 second mark a blast of purple and pink pyro goes off in the middle of the top of the entryway. A figure (Laura) then can be seen in the clearing smoke, hands on hips. At the 17 second mark she heads towards the ring, sliding under the bottom rope upon reaching it then scaling to the second rope of the nearest turnbuckle and puts her arms into an "L" shape as she takes in the fans' reaction of her. If she has a title, then instead of scaling to the top rope, she walks to the middle of the ring and slowly raises the belt she has, her head rising and following along with it until it is just above her head whereupon she fully extends her arms lifting her title as high as possible and letting out a yell in the process Catch Phrases Main-- I AM WOMAN, HEAR ME ROAR!! others- I'm Laura and I do WHAT I want WHEN I want because I CAN! | Biography Laura grew up in the city of Oshkosh, Wisconsin. As a sophomore in high school she became the girlfriend of the one person who would become instrumental to her beginning in wrestling. Not because he helped get her a contract or something like that, but rather because of her spite towards him--we'll get to that in a bit. During her high school years, Laura did nearly everything. She played volleyball all four years (winning a state title sophomore year), basketball all four years, and ran track all four years as well. It was track she dominated in, winning the state title all four years in both the 1600 M. run and the 3200 M. relay, the same events she'd win the Gold Medal in just years later. Her junior and senior years she was even named a high school All-American! She received numerous college scholarships, not only because of her athleticism but because she also carried a 4.0 GPA. She chose an NCAA Division II school in Winona, Minnesota, partially because she loved the campus and partially because it was a distance away from her now-ex boyfriend back in Oshkosh who, as far as she was concerened, she'd never see again. It was a traumatic break up the two had during their senior year, one that left Laura in tears on her bed and is still something she doesn't like to talk about. During Laura's freshman year, April of 2000, she was watching TV and saw an ad for a wrestling promotion that was coming to Madison, Wisconsin and lo-and-behold, who was on the card? Her ex! She decided to make the road-trip to Madison from Winona and interfered in her ex's match, costing him the title he held. For the next couple weeks she followed around causing mass chaos in her ex's matches until he eventually got sick of it all and retired! Instead of going back to life as a student, Laura felt the urge to start wrestling. Her career began in May of 2000 and within one month she had her Pacific Coast title and she hasn't looked back since! She's not even 21 and has had accomplishments so numerous that she's done more to date than most people can dream to do in their entire lives! Now in her second year of wrestling Laura looks to continue on with her successful career of a student/wrestler, one that no one has seen the likes of before. Will Laura's natural athleticism carry her to heights never before reached, and beyond? Or will she just fizzle out? Only time will tell. |
