Dengue: One more Dies in city

A five-month-old baby died from dengue infection at Dhaka Medical College Hospital while 24 more dengue patients were admitted to different hospitals in the city in the last 24 hours ending at 6 pm yesterday.

Amena was admitted to DMCH Saturday midnight. She died yesterday afternoon.

Her death raised the toll from Dengue Haemorrhagic Fever to 14 so far this year. A total of 847 dengue patients were hospitalised during this period.

Of the 24 hospitalised in the alst 24 hours, nine were admitted to DMCH, one to Mitford Hospital, three to Dhaka Shishu Hospital, four to BIRDEM, five to Holy Family Red Crescent Hospital and two to Shaheed Suhrawardy Hospital, official sources said.
