Presided over by Chairperson of ADAB Chittagong Mr. Kamal Sen Gupta, Programme Officer of the Royal Danish Embassy Dhaka Mr. Khaja Ahamed, Associate Professor of USTC Chittagong Dr. Mahmud A. Chowdhury Arju and Editor of health magazine Swasthyaloak Dr. M. G. Morshed participated in the dengue fever related informative discussion. CODEC Executive Director Dr. Khursid Alam delivered the welcome speech.

Explaining how he has taken measures after being affected with dengue fever while visiting Chittagong last year, Khaja Ahamed said high moral is the most vital requirement of a dengue patient. Intake of enough orsaline during this time works well, he informed. He is presenting dengue awareness related slide in his own and other areas. Mr. Khaja Ahamed regretted that most hospitals in our country do not provide mosquito nets. Many physicians who are not capable of drawing right symptoms of dengue fever do not necessarily refer to dengue specialists. Although aedes mosquito larvae are present in many city areas in Chittagong, he mentioned that not many measures are visible against their prevention.
