Given the choice, though, 20-year-old Jodi would rather stick it out in the wholesome department, not ready as yet to go the same route Assunta de Rossi and Rica Peralejo took although she could very well be a threat to these sexy stars.
"'Di ko pa talaga kayang magpaka-daring. Pero ayaw ko ring magsalita ng tapos, kasi hindi ko alam baka magbago ang ihip ng hangin pagdating ng araw," remarks one of the lead stars of Star Cinema's upcoming release, "Jologs"
In the Gilbert Perez movie, based on Ned Trespeces' award-winning script, Jodi gets to do a more offbeat role than her goody character in the weekly "Tabing-Ilog" program on ABS-CBN (in the soap opera `Pangako sa 'Yo,' Jodi is Tonton Gutierrez and Jean Garcia's rebellious daughter, Lia Buenavista).
She plays Faith in "Jologs," a supposedly conservative girl who, deep inside her, is raring to try most things that spell fun - flirting, having sex and the like."In other words, gusto niya ng sex, pero may mga nangyari along the way na talagang naging kabaduyan ang resulta for her," Jodi describes her role.
Aside from Assunta, John Prats, Dominic Ochoa, Michelle Bayle, Diether Ocampo and Onemig Bondoc, Jodi gets to work with "Tabing-Ilog" co-stars Patrick Garcia and ex-boyfriend Baron Geisler, in "Jologs.""Okay naman kami ni Baron, eh," she clarifies, "we're friends after going on for almost two years.
"What caused their break-up, then?"We have our differences, " Jodi notes, "but he's really nice. Minsan lang siguro, dumarating 'yung point in the relationship na hindi na kayo magkasundo. So kesa naman ipilit namin at eventually ay i-hate namin ang isa't isa, mas mabuti na maghiwalay na lang. 'Wag nang ipilit pa."
