| It's A Girl! | ||||||||||||||||
| Ever since I knew I was going to be getting my own apartment I have been thinking about getting a dog. I knew I needed a special, very intelligent, sweet, and fun dog so I began to search my options. I quickly found that if I wanted to better my changces of finding a dog that fit my personality I would have to look into pure bred dogs. In my search I came apon the Staffordshire Bull Terrier. This small, sweet, protective, intelligent dog was just the thing I was looking for. I searched and searched and tried to contact breeders, but there was never a puppy to be found. This is such a wonderful breed and very rare that they are hard to come by. Almost as if I was pregnant myself, nine months later I received an email that listed Staffordshire Bull Terriers for sale. I was so excited!! Who would have imagined, but on December 9, 2001 in Houston, Texas a beautiful female staffordshire gave birth to 7 healthy pups. Of those 7 one special little girl was the favorite of the bunch. He strange little spot set her apart from the rest. Her spirit so lively and curious. I didn't know then, but when I decided to pick her it was one of the best decisions I have ever made. So on February 2, 2002 Little "Ohio" as her owners affectionately called her was loaded on to an airplane to take a two and a hlaf hour trip to Columbus. She arrived at 2:35pm at the baggage claim office and I could hear her yelping from the entrance to the Airport. I didn't think she would ever forgive me for putting her on the airplane, but soon she was exploring her new home in my apartment. Nika "Ohio" Moss was home.
