Ellen Moss
My Momma....

Everyone has the rocks of their lives that never change or falter.  The one that has been there since the moment I was conceived is Ellen Laureen Dean.  Born May 31st, 1953, Ellen Dean was the proud baby girl of Adolphus and Laureen Dean.  The first born of Laureen and second of Adolphus, a welcomed addition to the Dean family.  After living sometime in Columbus on Moroe Ave, she and the family, now including my Uncle George, moved to the suburbs to a city called Worthingon.  Being one of the few people of color, my mother had a hard time in this new city and with these new kids.  She managed to make it and graduated from Worthingotn High School in 1971.  She began to attend Franklin University in Columbus where one day she happened to be in a class with Mr Rodger Moss.  They were introduced and soon began to date, even though they went out, she didn't know his name for the first two weeks.  This relationship blossomed to a point where on August 18, 1972 they were married at Shiloh Baptist Church.
By 1986 she had three beautiful children and was living in Orlando, Fl.  With anything though, there are always good and bad, peaks and valleys.  By 1999 she had lost her husband and lived a very trying, yet soul strengthing life.  She soon found someone who could once again make her happy and fill that vaid that was there for so long.  Friends for many years, she was again became reaquainted with Mr Fred Adams.  Even though this was about the best thing to happen to her in years, happiness was not meant to last long.  She lost Fred in October of 2000.
She is about the strongest, most loving, caring, human being I have ever known.  If it was not for her I would not have been half the person I am today.  I  feel like I have a strong head for things and I owe it all to her.
I love you Mom!
