Zeta Upsilon History


   On February 5, 1972, The Zeta Upsilon Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha was chartered by twelve women with the same vision and conviction as those who'd gone before. These women were:

           Sandra Sullivan                         Sheila Mills  
           Myra Bobo                                Regina Thompson
           Mattie Head                              Lillie Harden
           Mary Myles                              Jacqueline DeLaughter
           Barbara Twine                          Marjorie Royster



   At the University of South Florida (Tampa campus), Zeta Upsilon stands united with sisterly love, educated about our past, present, and future, committed to building our community, and dedicated to prosperity. Zeta Upsilon is  proud to be the first black greek organization chartered at USF and have one of the charter member's serve as assistant graduate advisor.
