HOLY-DAY

Halloween is here again
As the moon ensnares the sun
And stars dance about the sky
With a sense of fiendish fun

The torch lights flickeron and off
Bells sound like alarms
And strangers upon the street are clad
In demonic uniforms

Be careful of your neighbor
Who knows what he might do?
Poison is most medieval
But razors work well, too

And that temptress who lives next door
Though witches no longer burn,
Has played her tricks upon some man
Now its a poor boys turn

Knivesrip into candy bags
Thievestake off with someones gold
The young and moral-depraved
Take advantage of the old

What is this day, still fted for
Its holy titletrue
When men are less than beasts
We give this day its due?
