Just the other day
You and I were exchanging
Words
I said poh-tay-toh
You said poh-tah-toh
And then began to rehearse
that dreaded word
Over and over
You told me of different kinds
Of sweet potatos,
Boiled potatos, mashed;
You asked if they had rinds
I finally had to yell at you
To let my voice be heard
"That was not my point"
I boomed aloud
"It's just a petty word"
Will I ever be able to talk to you
Every time I try
to get a word in edgewise
I try hard not to cry
The keys go clickety
The mouse goes clickety clack
Why do my posts
Always get threadjacked?
