Beyond the Skies
Yea, what sorrows dwell upon this earth
What trials we must face
From when we are brought forth in birth
To when we leave this place

We struggle through our lives each day
To make the future bright
That man might live while we're away
For them, we stand and fight

And yet it seems so pointless
To fight so we can die
And watch our strength grow less
As soulds learn how to fly

But, we find hope in one small thing--
That we are not alone--
And He will never fail to bring
Purpose to what we've done

So, take up your swords, your sharpened knives
Come Pain and Sickness--All--
End them here and now--our lives--
And see our bodies fall

Now, look not to the Earth for us
For we have gone and fled
Look not for us in the dust
We're far beneath, and dead

But, look upward toward those outstretched skies
That cold and dark abyss
For somewhere in that vastness lies
A greater world than this
