| Name: Gillian Anderson Life Of Gillian Gillian was born on the 9th of August 1968 in Chicago at St Mary of Nazarets Hospital. When Gillian was older Gillian and her family moved to Puerto Rico were Gillian's grandfather worked in the airforce. Later Gillian and her family moved to London in England. There Gillian's father studied at the "London Internationall Filmschool". They lived in London for 9 years and then moved back to Grand Rapids in the USA. First Gillian wanted to be a archeologist but at High School she decided she wanted to become an actress. She returned to Chicago to study at DePaul University's Goodman Theatre School. She was discovered by some agents from New York, so she moved to The Big Apple. All this happened when Gillian was 22. She got her first job when Mary-Louise Parker quit Absent Friends after two weeks of rehearsals. The producers were keen to find a replacement for Mary-Louise. Gillian auditioned for the part and got it immediately. Gillian won a Theatre World Award for the part. Gillian worked at two restaurants as a waitress after her "mild success" with Absent Friends. Gillian continued auditioning for parts. After a while she got offered two parts in one day. One off-Broadway play and a low budget play. The low budget play became what she herself calls "the turning". That play took her to L.A. Were she met an actor from the west who helped her to get an audition for "The X-files.The first time Gillian red the script to the first X-files episode she thought that the part as agent Dana Scully was very interesting. Gillian was only 24 when she first played the role of Dana Scully and they had to lower Dana Scully's age because Gillian was so young. While they were shooting The X-files Gillian started dating Clyde Klotz an animator working on the show. Gillian and Clyde got married on New Year's Eve 1994 at the 17th hole of a golf course in Hawaii. Later Gillian found out that she was pregnant. The first person who got to know about Gillian's pregnancy was David Duchovny, then Chris Carter found out. It took months before she could tell the press. Gillian gave birth to a girl called Piper. Piper was born on the 25th of September 1994. Ten days after Piper was born Gillian was on the set again to shoot the episode where Scully is found at a hospital in Washington. |
