hello there. i'm isa, and i'm a painter posing as a yuppie. as much as i'd love to paint full-time, the whole starving-artist notion holds no appeal to me. my perennial dilemma, therefore, is striking a balance between my work (painting) and my job (being a random office drone).
let me take this opportunity to let you know that if you feel charitable and want to support my becoming a full-time artist, i have no shame, and would love to be the recipient of your good will.
sorry to disappoint, but i can't do the haughty-intellectual-artist act without wanting to flagellate myself.
i started my career in art at a very young age. my parents got tired of me constantly vandalizing the walls, so in an effort to confine it to paper, they sent me to drawing school, which i thoroughly enjoyed. later on, i decided to pursue a degree in fine arts. that way, i could paint on anything and everything, and call it "art" instead of "vandalism".
feel free to browse through my stuff. just don't steal. |
