US SYSTEM
G - suitable for young children to read
PG - some bad words, some sex - but nothing graphical
PG 13 - a little more bad words, some more sex or blood, action whatever - but still not too much into graphical stuff !
PG 15 - more into graphics and bad words (just used by Australia) not suitable under the age of 15
R - a lot of graphic sex, gore, profanity and/or explicit violence - not suitable to read under legal age
NC 17 - much more into graphics - all stories around or with Rape & Slash (no slash in this group!) - not suitable under the age of 18 and if you feel disturbed by graphical sex or violence - dont read it.
On this page NC 17 stories/ challenges are marked with a red "R"
Austrian /German System
(many other European except UK and Ireland)
Here is to say that we dont have such strict laws like USA, so we dont care that much about it, so this one is just something I built up myself.
G and PG is something you can read unde the age of 13 and older.
PG 13 and PG 15 would get into the Austrian FSK 13 - so not under the age of 13 but honestly said there arent many kiddos around here where I live who know enough English to read a Fan Fic at that age.
R is going to FSK 16, not suitable under the age of 16
NC17 is something we dont really have anymore. We dont have really restricted movies except Porn. So if you want to get in touch with graphical sex, violence or words dont read it. And if you are under 16 and you read it - run and be fast because if I catch you ....
