RULES - Scoring & Rosters:

***************************************
SCORING:
***************************************
- We will use Yahoo! Fantasy Basketball to facilitate the league.
- The scoring will be rotissierie style, in the categories of:

FG's Made
Total Points

3-Pointers Made
Free Throw Percentage

Assists

Offensive Rebounds
Defensive Rebounds

Blocks
Steals

*The Strategy*
- In General, the Rotissierrie style makes managers build more 'well-rounded' teams, finding the
pieces that fit together.  It's not enough to simply find players who 'produce'... you need players who compliment each other. This simulates the realistic challenge of trying to build a team with good chemistry.
FG's Made and Pts scored are similar categories, designed to place emphasis on the importance of scoring! Likewise, for rebounding.

***************************************
ROSTERS/POSITIONS/# OF GAMES:
***************************************
- Our teams will have a 15 man roster.

- Our submitted starting lineups will have only the five traditional positions:

Center
Power Forward
Small Forward
Shooting Guard
Point Guard

- Each position is allotted 100 games over the course of the season.

*The Strategy*
- Since an NBA season is 82 games long, having to fill in 100 Fantasy games per position creates a natural hierarchy on your roster between your "Starters" and "Reserves".  For instance, your "Starter" at a certain position, if generally healthy, will account for about 80 games of the 100 game season. This leaves about 20 games in remainder for your reserve to be pencilled in....This should simulate a real basketball team where the strength of their "Top 5" is most important, but solid depth is still significant to the final outcome.

- We will use Yahoo!'s player positions, designating which players are "C", "PF", "C/PF" etc...
- Note these do change over time.
