As of now, our early versions of the machine can only read a human's emotional attachment to a personal possesion. Therefore, for this test, you need to choose a small item that has a strong meaning to you. (Example: A picture, piece of jewelry, or a small keepsake of a memorable event.) Once you have that, you will also need four other non-personal items that have little or no emotional value to you. (Example: a piece of paper, a paper clip, or a penny.) Once you have those items, place them in a row in front of your keyboard or moniter, with the personal item at the far right end of the row.
