To see a world in a grain of sand
and heaven in a wild flower,
to hold infinity in the palm of your hand
and eternity in an hour......

Wild things in my house and yard....

Eryngo++Monarch

Eringo in bloom.   A fall wild flower prickley               The only butterfly that migrates (that we know of.)
and thistle like, but a quite beautiful blossom.                                     the mighty Monarch!
(Eryngium leavenworthii)

hippy spider

The (left) "Writing Spider" or Garden Spider :,
She writes with a silken thread, with which she wraps her prey.
Often it is her mate, a skinny thing, with one purpose in life. Two, if you count a meal for the mate!
Her poison disolves the innerads of her prey, and she sucks the
juice at her leisure.
Update: The one on the right was unknown to me until I was informed by a friend, Tom Paul Grissom, whose family own Grissom's Jewelry in Fort Worth.

His friend Marius wrote:  "The spiny green and yellow fellow is definately the Lyssomanes viridis, green Lynx spider, an adult male."

Thanks, Guys!
