1. Slide from the kitchen shelf- the pots and pans banging around that slide from the shelf make a crashing sound relating to how much the dad was throwing the kid around.
2. Beat- he was being beat with time on his head, meaning that he was being beat over and over again.
3. Clinging- he was clinging to his dad shirt so that he couldn�t throw him, or so that he would show some mercy because he didn�t want to be beat again.
