During Sandlot the main character Smalls hits the signed Babe Ruth baseball over the fence with when an enormous dog called the Beast. When this happened, Benny the Hero of the movie goes and gets the ball and becomes in a rundown with the Beast and himself. He goes all through town to save the baseball. At the end of the chase he gives the ball back to Smalls. From that moment on Benny and Smalls became best friends and never left each others side. They kept in touch even when Benny became a pro for the LA Dodgers. |
