My character was Carlson from Fresh Prince of Bellaire that portrayed Brutus from shakespeares Juilius Caesar. There are few reason that I portrayed Brutus while playing Carlson. Carlson in our skit killed his father that was portraying Caesar. He wanted to kill Caesar because he thought that he would become a tyrant. Carlson wanted to become the head of the household just like Brutus ruling over Rome. Brutus thought that he would be a better choice as a governor of rome because everyone was seeing Caesar turn into a tyrant. The thing with brustus is that it was his idea to kill Caesar and he was the one that held the dagger to the crowd when he brags about his loyalty to his emporer. Brutus isnt a conspirator but he is the unloyal one in the very end and he broke his morals. He killed Caesar just like Carlson killed his uncle by his wack rhymes. I learned a few things about my character through this skit. Bustus was loyal until he didnt see things going his way and in his won direction. This is when he turned his back on his ruler and turned his back on his own moral values of strength and nobility. There was a total flip side of Brutus as if he had some kind of skitsophrenic urges. Also Carlson was loyal to his father until he switched sides to Wills side and wanted to rhyme. This showed that Brutus also flipped sides and totally disrespected his rulers decision to stay loyal. In this fact they both ruled out there leader and totally disobeyed then and killed them with either a knife or wack rhymes. |
