The event that started WWII was Hitler�s invasion on Poland on September 1, 1939 3. The event that brought the states into the war was Pearl Harbor. This occurred on December 7, 1941 when the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor and naval base in Hawaii. 4. The Germans used a tactic such as concentration camps to take out all of the German Jews because they were supposedly bad, and they made a corrupt segregation against anyone of a different race such as Africans and other ethnicities and Hitler thought was going to bring down his empire 5. The battle of Stalingrad was important because the Nazi�s were defeated by soviet troops and they advanced into eastern Europe not being allies together anymore. It basically turned Nazi�s against the Soviets 6. The island hopping campaign was to recapture the Philippines and attack there way into Japan by the neighboring islands. 7. The united nations was established in April 1945, this is where a delegate from one nation had one vote in a General Assembly where members can debate issues 8. the Truman doctrine was a policy that made clear Americans would resist soviet expansion in Europe or elsewhere in the world. |
