previous day's entry 09 October 2005 next day's entry
Hi everyone

It's been a long while. Had a sorta busy weekend and time since last I wrote. Well here's a quick update of what's been happening.

Thursday - Was washing day, so we spent most of the day doing washing. Well, that was the girls and Steve. I was was with Hella planning things for Steve farewell.

Friday - We spent the day together, preparing for Steve and stuff. The evening the
church threw a farewell and afterwards we went out. Just made sure that Steve enjoyed his last hours here. Unfortunately, Destiny hurt her knee and will go to the doctor on Monday.

Saturday - We were up early and took Steve to the airport. It was really sad to him leave. Some wished they could go with while others wished he had stayed. But he's happy to be back home. The rest of the day was very mellow and relaxed.

Now on to today, Claudia and I were up at 7am to take the key back to the people of the house they were looking after. Then we came back and went to church. Church was awesome this morning. The usual band is on holiday, so today the band from the Conerstone Bible College in the Netherlands did the worship. It was great. The word was good too. A real challenge to us and the congregation.

We spent the afternoon with Norbert and Hella and the family. We had dner for lunch, well at least destiny and I had. Dner is like a schwarma, but greek style. We then looked at some old family pic and then we drove to the Christ Camp to take Rahel, their daughter some clean clothes and stuff. There I we got Ahmed. It was sooooooooo good to see him.

Thank you all for praying for him. There is however still issues with his visa, so if you can continue praying for him it would be great. We also met a local artist called Judy Bailey. She will be in Cape Town next year, so she might come and visit us. Anyway, the rest of the day we spent with the Haas family. Then we chatted about the way forward as team, just a little bit, but tomorrow we do some more structured planning and get everything in black and white.

So that has been life in Germany for the past few days. Hope life in Cape Town has been good too.
