| Hello once again This month has been a long, hard month for us. Not only has there been many ministry opportunities, but lots of tough times too. I think the team was real excited to have Ps. Kotze here with us for almost 2 weeks. His input into our lives was really good and although he does not know this, helped us build relationships with other families. Thank Ps. Kotze for visiting and spending some time with the team, we really appreciate it. It has been particularly tough, because there is such little communication coming from CPT. We feel alone sometimes and always wondering what is happening in CPT. Nevertheless, we have been able to cope through these feelings. All the kids are back from vacation and work is piling up here and that's good for us. After a long period without it we are doing good. We have had meetings with Ralf and Norbert to see the way forward for the team. Thay have asked us to lead the dance classes for the Stadtfest. This was hard work, almost like planning the feast of tabernacles, but not as intense. One of the big challenges we had with the youth was the discipline, but eventually we worked through it and they are working hard too. The kids have had a lot of say in the dance and generally in everything, due to the effects of the war. So, we were not favourites for a while. In the meantime, we moved from the church into staying with families, but this proved to be a negative move, even though it looked good in the first week or so, but quickly turned sour. Even though, this happened, we were able to sort out the issues and work through it. However, we have moved back to the church again. The team moral is higher than it's ever been and it's been a good thing for us as a team. We have all been building lots of relationships and working even harder at it this month. We had the opportunity to visit a christian rock concert with youth from another church, even though we are not really rock fans we went along to build relationships with them. This failed dissmally, as they seemed not even interested in speaking to us once we were there. There were 2 people that stood out and spoke to us, but the rest were very closed to us. Then, we made contact with Grant again(the South African I told you about last month) and ministered at their church. His wife gave birth ot their second child and we almost didn't go, but then he realized it was better for his wife to be in the hospital and ahve us all there, than to have her there. It was a good weekend and he was very happy to be able to speak some afrikaans with us. We did some open air ministry their and while we were dancing all around a group of kids (whom I think are satanist) started laughing at us, but the team was not put off by this. During the piece were some does a solo, I went up into their faces and showed them we are not intimidated by them. They then left soon afterwards. Then on the 25th os September we had the Stadt Fest. It was really good, until the back board which was errected came crashing down on the little kids while they were dancing. No one was seriouly hurt, mainly shocked by what had happened. But they made a come back later in the day and danced their hearts out. There was a Hip Hop crew there two and we shuffled ministry times, which gave us time to catch our breath. I was able to a song with them and this was awesome. Thiago, the leader of the crew, wants to record a song with me. He has just secured a new record contract. So, please pray that the oportunity will materialise, if it is in the will of God. The day was awesome and many kids came to see what was happening. There was another group of kids who also wanted to rap, but Norbert is organising something for them. There were many turkish people there, coming to look what was happening and so we fing that we are not only ministring to Germans, but turks and africans and people from all over. Then, lastly, I just wanna thank each person who prayed for Ahmed. I heard that he has a job and was not sent back to Afgahnistan. I am trying to make contact with hi personally to see how he is doing. But thank you for helping him through your prayers. Till next month or tomorrow if you are following my feedback journal. 143 RAP |
