Nice informative site. Too bad compaq doesn't make things as simple.
I have a Compaq laptop model 12XL3. It has a Trident Cyberblade i1 AGP display adapter,
use SP15949 for up to 32-True Color. Please add that fact to your list. Also, you'll find that SP15442
works for the sound drivers and joystick. And SP15695 works for the Conexant HSF Mini PCI modem.
All these drivers work for Win95/98 & WinMe. The only Plug and Play driver in WinMe is for the Conexant
HSF Mini Modem. Hope this helps somebody. Took me a
month to track this down after I reformatted my hard drive to get rid of all the Compaq crap and then found out that the restore disk wasn't accessible to pick drivers off from.
