What started out as a photo history of Crawford County, Indiana turned into a written history of the county to the present day. With over 100 photos and illustrations, the book also includes stories of more current events in the county's history. "We wanted to begin where H.H. Pleasant's History of Crawford County, Indiana left off," Holzbog explained.

"Previous history books of the county didn't have any photos included and that's why this book started out as just a pictorial history. But, then Janice and I decided we couldn't just have photos and not tell the stories to go with them," Preflatish said, about the planning of the book.

Over 500 copies of this self-published book have been sold, with 100% of the profits going to the Crawford County, Indiana Public Library.
